What are Lighting Gobos? Should I get them?

GOBOs (GOes Before Optics) are tin or glass stencils that fit into lighting fixtures and allow light to pass through to create a light image. A GOBO can cost as little as $80 for a stock image, can be used over and over, and is more versatile and cost effective than a poster or banner. Tin GOBOs project one color, while glass GOBOs offer a range of projection colors. Personalized Gobos can be made with your company logo or name of event honored The industry uses GOBOs to maximize visibility of sponsor logos at trade shows and to decorate walls with images. At your event, you can use GOBOS to project designs such as clouds onto the wall to fit a sky theme or Music notes and guitars for music them, Etc. Even without GOBOs, lighting can create a mood with graphic shapes on floors and ceilings.
Great for Weddings and Corporate Events, guests love taking photos of the bride & groom in front of the display. At a corporate event, the gobo can take the place of a banner and unlike traditional banners, as the room gets darker, your logo in lights gets brighter! At a wedding, it is an unexpected and beautifully elegant touch!
Please note that every room is different, and the visibility of the light depends on the amount of daylight in the room, the color and texture of the surface the light is displayed on (eg: a white wall vs. a panelled wall or brick), and the ability to find a suitable place to position the light as some venues are very tight/packed with people and we will need to set up a tripod stand. White will be the most noticeable color in the gobo, so it is suggested that your names and/or logo be in white.
But it must cost a fortune!
Traditionally gobos are very expensive to produce (color designs costing upwards of $500 to manufacture). We are offering gobos to our clients in a much more cost effective manner. With our intelligent lighting and DJ packages, a basic gobo will be much more affordable depending on your logo or how much editing is required.
